What does "Waterproof" really mean?

IP67 is the defacto International Standard Certification. This means the BATV was tested independantly (In Germany by TÜV): Put in a tank that was then filled with water - entirely covering the television to a depth of several centimetres, and it still functioned perfectly! We note other company's also claim IP67 - but their small print states IP67 only actually applies to the remote control. The TV is standard and sealed on the front face (Wall joint) only. Check this yourself: If you can plug directly into the back of the TV, then it cannot be Waterproof = IP67! BATV is completely sealed within it's own container. All extrernal terminals are wired through a non-porous membrane with a 1 metre lead to a separate connection block - where you can attach many media devices.
